Teletherapy

What is Teletherapy?

Teletherapy is when speech services are provided using online video conferencing on a computer or tablet. The SLP supports the student through various activities, either digital or direction based, to target their goals. Research shows that teletherapy can be just as effective as traditional therapy.

What Platform do you use for  Teletherapy?

Zoom is our preferred teletherapy platform.

What equipment do I need?

A device with an internet connection and a  quiet space. Headphones are optional, but beneficial.

How do I get set up for Teletherapy?

Once your child's candidacy has been determined, you will receive information on how to accept Zoom Meetings on your device.

What activities can my child expect in a Teletherapy session?

Anna uses a variety of apps, games, physical materials, and interactive documents to provide therapy.

Will my insurance cover my visit?

Each provider is different. Please contact your insurance provider directly to inquire about your coverage.

Teletherapy allows us to to work with children across Alberta!
Teletherapy reduces travel time for families,  is provided in the comfort of your own home, and eliminates the need for child care for siblings. 
Children are just as engaged and we are able to accomplish just as much as during in-person sessions.
